Course description and details
PADI
OPEN WATER
Scuba Diving is easy, fun and liberating. Anyone can do it. So no, you can’t
go back to the couch and watch TV. Come with us to a world where you can fly, see beautiful colours, no mobile phones ringing - not even your mother can get hold of you!
You will be
taught in a PADI Gold Palm Resort and BSAC Premier Dive School so be assured you
are in the best hands. Our safety record is outstanding, and our personal teaching standards derive from technical dive training.
What
does the course involve?
The course is split into three parts. Theory, Confined Water and Open water. Part 1, the theory, is taught using books, videos, quizzes and your instructor. We have taught many dyslexic people over the years, so don't be put off by the theory, its easy. Part 2 involves swimming pool training. This is great fun, and teaches you a variety of standard diving techniques and emergency procedures. Part 3 puts your theory and confined skill practise into action with 4 ocean dives.
How
long will it take?
3 to 4 days.
What am I qualified to do with a PADI Open Water license?
You can dive to a maximum depth of 18 metres or 60 feet, with a person qualified to the same level or higher. It also allows you to buy or hire dive equipment and get your tanks filled at a filling station.
What
do I need?
Just a swimming costume. You do NOT need any previous diving experience.
